Our History
Across Generations

Compound 1 was founded in 1966 by Sir. Engr Obiukwu C Okeke Sr, who envisioned a family estate that would stand as a testament to Nigerian heritage and the values of community, perseverance, and excellence.

Nestled in the heart of Enugu State, the compound was carefully designed to blend traditional Mid Century African Architectural sensibilities with modern comforts — a philosophy that continues to guide every renovation and addition to this day.

Over six decades, the compound has hosted countless celebrations, welcomed new generations, and served as the spiritual and cultural anchor of the Okeke family.

Today, the compound stands as a living monument as — with current on going renovations tended, and forever a place where the past and present meet in the quiet dignity of home.
